Hold the super key, type two letters, let go. Your text lands in under 10 ms, wherever the cursor is: a terminal over SSH or WSL, a browser form, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, an Excalidraw board.
Under 10 ms to the first character · plain YAML you own · offline by default
Status: not on sale yet. Tested on a Mac, a Windows 11 (ARM) virtual machine and a Linux (Hyprland, Wayland) virtual machine. Not yet tested: bare-metal Windows, x86 Windows and Linux, X11.
⌘⌥ on a Mac, Ctrl+Alt on Windows and Linux.
One or two letters you chose: t, tt, gs. A small hint shows the match.
The text is typed or pasted into the app in front, keys like Tab and Enter included.
Sent as keystrokes, so it works on the remote box too.
{tab} between fields, {enter} to submit.
A chord can do something, not only type: open an app, snap a window, type into another tab, through the bundled aos tool. Runs off the typing path, with no shell.
${secret:X} comes from the built-in encrypted vault: never written in the file, never on the clipboard.
Copied a file or a screenshot? A chord types its path instead, quoted for the shell, so a terminal or an agent CLI gets the file.
A tray icon shows status, errors and the vault lock. Save the file and the chords reload.
Chords live in a single keychord.yml. Diff it, keep it in git, share a pack.
